We would like to thank all our supporters who made this trip possible! We joined other college campus ministries across the state for our annual Diocesan Retreat. We had an amazing weekend of prayer, worship, growth, and even a chance to serve the community during the trip. The speaker was Father John Marconi, who is the Chaplain of the Calix Society of Central Arkansas. He taught us how to pray more peacefully, Lectio Dvina (a method of praying the Scriptures), Visio Divina (a method of seeing God in art), Ignatian Contemplation, and ways to forgive and love our fellow humans better. Also during the retreat, the students had two different volunteer opportunities. One was with Our House, which is a place that works with homeless & near-homeless families and individuals to help them get back on their feet and have a place for them to stay. The other volunteer opportunity involved staying at the diocese and making inspirational cards and baking cookies for residents of a local retirement home. Everyone who attend had an impactful weekend of prayer, fellowship, and service. We are all extremely grateful for the opportunity to attend.
